Blockbuster Dives Into Selling AND Trading Games

Blockbuster, for whom I used to work for MANY moons ago between my Freshman and Sophomore years of college, has decided to start selling and trading games...and not just old ones. Evil Avatar received this email earlier today:
It's a whole new game at BLOCKBUSTER®. Why? Because now, in addition to renting, you can buy the latest games inside our stores!Get great new games like Madden NFL 08 (expected 8/14), Guitar Hero Encore Rocks the 80s and Mario Strikers Charged! BLOCKBUSTER now stocks the hottest new titles for PS3, Wii, Xbox 360 and PS2.
Plus, take the excitement up a level. Trade in the games you've already mastered for in-store credit good toward new games, hardware and accessories, even movies to buy or rent. The more you trade, the more you save!
Could this perhaps give GameStop a run for its money? It's possible if they play their cards right for this likely does not just apply to Blockbusters with a GameRush, it could apply to all 5,000+ of them. Of course, there's no indication of limitations or how far Blockbuster will go into this brave new world that it is about to enter, so keep your eyes and ears peeled and we'll do the same. In the end, I think it's a grand scheme to get people back into their stores to get something else...movies.
Will this put you back in your local Blockbuster? I can say that my magic eight ball says, "No." I haven't stepped inside of a Blockbuster to rent anything in years. The last thing I got was Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, brand new, for $9.99 in 2001. I call that an incredible deal. Kind of like the PS3 that is due to arrive tomorrow.

They've been doing this for ages.
I worked there back in 02 for a year (actually really enjoyed my time there). We sold brand new and used (previously rented) games.
After I left, the store got an overhaul and had an entire section carved out for video games (to compete with Hollywood video) called Game Rush. But for the past 2 years they have been taking in used games to resell for credit towards buying other games and what not.
