E3 07 Video: Live Demo of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Here's the first "live performance" of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption at the Nintendo Press Conference, and it surely is something to behold. Getting a rather sleepy looking blonde girl in torn jeans to do it, now that's a bit questionable.
I'm going to have to ask tiny dancer and Fruit Brute if it really looked like she was doing anything at all, but what is on display here is really great looking. The visor system that he talks about didn't really seem to be shown, but it sounds like switching between powers will be much easier and intuitive than before. I particularly like the bit about sensitivity, so that those with lots of shooter experience can get the challenge out of it they want, while newbies don't have to feel like they just walked into a quicksand pit--of doom.
Graphics are of course amazing although not quite on PS3 or 360 level, but again the image is pretty grainy and I'm sure our two intrepid reporters will have a clearer vision of what actually took place. Can't wait to see the more devastating effects of the corrupting Hyper Mode, because it just looked like to me that Ms. Excitement shot a few fireballs at the landscape, a la Dragon Ball. More details will surely be forthcoming.

Dammit I need a Wii!
