Brave Story: New Traveler Website Live
It seems like with each passing day, Sony rubs it's PSP's growing RPG library into my face. Right from the beginning, the oblong handheld system has seemed to get special attention from the RPG makers of the japanese video game world, starting with my favorite name for a game EVER: Popolocrois. But this isn't about Popolocrois, it's about Brave Story: New Traveler.
An upcoming game for the PSP (obviously) and developed by the famed Wild Arms people of XSEED. Brave Story: New Traveler appears to offer all the things we've expected from an RPG since Final Fantasy turned the aspects into canon. You take on the role of an 11 year old boy attempting to find inner strength. Along his adventure there are Chocobos er, Goalfinches to capture and battle, fighting girls with little outfits and big rabbit- er, cat ears, big banga- er, lizard men, and of course the possibility of performing Limit Br- I mean, "Bravuras," when a gauge fills up.
Still, despite lacking many points in originality, it still looks like a beautiful game. Graphics are about on par with FFXI online, there are some interesting character developments that occur through closer bonding with teammates, and it looks like a dense and immersive adventure. The website isn't completely finished, but there's enough to give you an idea how the game looks and feels. Let's just hope no one shows up with amnesia.

I really liked the Brave Story movie. Even though it was kinda odd how obsessed Wataru was with Mitsuru. Odd but cute.
