Powerpuff Girls Z Japanese Seizure Clip
Ok, I know the Powerpuff Girls are totally 2002, but seeing them here with their Japan-ified new anime look and twitchy, grand mal-inducing visual effects gave me both a pang of nostalgia for the days when I wasn't merely pretending to be 25 and also reinvigorated me with determination to finally watch that Powerpuff Girls Movie. This commercial for the Japanese DS game Powerpuff Girls Z is teasingly, mercifully brief.
Although what little of the game you can see here gives one the impression of a thoroughly uninspired minigame collection (Mojo Jojo whack-a-mole?), and my spidey sense tells me we don't stand much chance of seeing the game outside of the Japanese import scene, I still can't help but pine for a new, revitalized, re-imagined Powerpuff Girl show with giant white pupil reflections and cuter anime haircuts. Oh Buttercup, we were soul sisters once...

Heh, I've always wanted them to go and do full episodes of the 'teen' powerpuffs that they imagined themselves being in two different episodes. They totally rock and 'bratz' are so influenced by it.

What does the "Z" stand for? It's probably the same as in "Dragonball Z", but I still have no idea... :P
They should leave the series alone, it's minimalist style was part of the appeal.
