Lara Croft Opens Italy's First Women-Only Beach?
Here you see "Lara Croft" taking a moment out of her busy schedule promoting Tomb Raider: Anniversary to open Italy's first ever women-only beach in beautiful Riccione, near Rimini on the eastern coast of Italy. 10 million Italians looked on as the event was broadcast on the national news.
Kratos, stung to his sensitive egalitarian core by this display of wanton chauvinism, retreated to a sandy cove on the Greek isle of Mykonos, where he consoled himself with a barrel of appletini and a few dozen muscle-bound gay tourists.
One can't really fault the booby-crazed Italians for cleaning up with a sexy girl-geek-chic spokeswoman, and in fact it's probably a fantastic sign of the general cultural relevance which gaming and its icons are achieving. And the "Pink Beach" opening was held in conjunction with Miss Muretto, a beauty contest for younger girls...
But still. I want a hot gaming dude to open up... (ahem) to be present at some noteworthy occasion. Frank West opening a mall. Kratos opening a bathhouse. Dante opening up a vintage outerwear boutique. The opportunities are endless. Now gimme.

Lara Croft opens Italy®€TMs first ever women-only beach
Lara Croft (Karima Adebibe) takes a break from promoting the new Tomb Raider: Anniversary game to relax in the sunshine and open Italy’s very first women-only beach located in Riccione, an exclusive resort near Rimini on the east coast.
The beach opening was held in conjunction with Miss Muretto, a beauty contest held yearly and similar to the Miss Italy contest but for younger girls. The new ‘Pink Beach’ is an exclusive area on the beachfront which will now be completely off-limits to men, allowing ladies to relax and tan themselves without having to fend off any unwanted attention. The beach opening was broadcast across Italy to 10 million people on the national news.
