Crush Could Get Multiple Platform Release

The PSP 2D/3D platform puzzler Crush has been warmly received by critics and players alike. The only gamers who may not be fond of the title are those without a PSP. Soon that may change. Crush senior producer Paul Mottram recently stated that he is interested in expanding the audience base by bringing the game to other consoles.
"There is no reason why it couldn't be transferred to multiple different platforms especially the Wii, DS and PS2," he said, "and this is something we are thinking about." Discussing a potential sequel, Mottram said "It's something we'd all love to do since there are so many features we didn't get the opportunity to put into this version."
One of the features he speaks of is a level editor, which developers used to create the levels in Crush. Now if the game is ported to other consoles, they may be able to implement the editor.
"We have a terrific in-game level editor running on the PSP which our designers used to create all the levels in the game. Unfortunately, we didn't have the time to get this running on a commercial PSP or implement all the necessary user friendly features we would have needed if it was to be shipped with the game. As you could imagine designing Crush levels can be tricky at times."
When Crush was announced, I closely followed the development because I loved the notion of transitioning between 2 dimensions. On top of it, the game had a bizarre premise and a beautiful art style. This game was one of the several reasons I wanted a PSP so badly, and trust me it was high on the list. It is great that the developer Zoƫ Mode is not trying to keep this franchise a PSP exclusive. Crush will have a better opportunity to appeal to a wider fan base on separate consoles.

Dangit, and I just bought it for the PSP. Hopefully I'll still be able to download other users' levels that they made on other platforms.
