Celebrate 20 Years Of Final Fantasy, PSP FF Launch Party

Should you be lucky enough to live in the Bay Area, June 26 is the day to be a Final Fanboy. The stateside version of the Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary throwdown may not be as elaborate as its Japanese counterpart, but parents Sony and Square Enix are making sure the Bay Area gaming public get a chance to celebrate their cash cow - er, enduring creation - by throwing a shindig at the Sony Metreon.
Not only will the first 100 guests receive "giveaway items that are exclusive to the event," but partygoers will be able to buy Final Fantasy for the PSP as well as see (and perhaps go hands-on with?) Final Fantasy II for the PSP, which doesn't hit the streets until July 24.

Jealous, am I. Not that I didn't love reliving Final Fantasies I and II on my DS, but who needs a reason to celebrate more Final Fantasy goodness? PSP aficionados can check out the Final Fantasy PSP teaser site here.

Ooooo... finally! A gaming release event in the SF area! They all seem to be in New York. Though I don't have a PSP and already have FFI for the GBA, I think I might go just to check it out. Besides, you never know. Maybe one of those prizes will be a free PSP or something.
Very cool. I'm moving up there on the 20th, just in time for this.
