Indie Hotness: Penumbra: Overture Comes To Linux And Mac

Penumbra.jpg

Frictional Games is bringing the first episode of their indie PC 3D horror adventure game Penumbra: Overture to Linux gamers. The game showcases the studio's proprietary physics engine for a rich level of interactivity. Just about every object can be manipulated to your disposal. Need to get up on a ledge that's out of reach? Just pile up some junk and jump on top. Gameplay is focused on object manipulation over combat. The title drips atmosphere, set in an abandoned factory filled with decay. Fortunately they are planning a Mac port of the game, to give us Mac gamers something to look forward to.
