Fresno State Shooter Apprehended
Jonquel Brooks, the Hayward CA native behind last night's shootings at Fresno State, has been apprehended... meaning that he turned himself in to the police. Brooks, who was confronted by some acquaintances of his because they claimed to have evidence that he had stolen a Playstation console from their apartment, apparently opened fire on the men when the conversation turned ugly. According to the L.A. Times:
"The guy who shot us -- he had stolen from our apartment. We went to confront him with the evidence and it just turned ugly from there. He pulled a gun out on us," said Drew Pfeiff, 22, a junior from Raleigh, N.C.Brooks fired five or six times, grazing Pfeiff, he said.
"People don't deserve to die for stupid stuff like this," Pfeiff said.
I couldn't agree with you more, Drew, and I'm sorry things wound up like they did.
