Clive Barker To Speak At "Hollywood And Games" Summit
The Second Annual Hollywood and Games Summit is upon us--don't get too excited. Presented by the Game Developers Conference and the Hollywood Reporter, the two day summit is a chance for top leaders in both industries to meet and discuss the burgeoning relationship between the two multi-million dollar entertainment industries. The event will be held at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Hollywood, California (where else?) on June 26th and 27th.
The keynote speaker this year will be none other than the very sexy Clive Barker. I've long held Barker in special esteem, being one of the first writers I had encountered to be openly gay and not devote the entirety of his oeuvre to gay themes; in fact being mostly known for brutal tales of horror. Barker's wild imagination is cruel, remarkable, and addictive--every book I've read of his was read in a frenzy, the final pages flipping through my fingers within a day or two. He's also had a long history in bringing his stories to film, as well as his own creations just for the silver screen, with arguably varied results. He's a great choice for a summit dealing with the relationship between interactive media and Hollywood, as he has a great understanding of both sides of the spectrum. His keynote is titled, "The Interactive Parallel Universe." Well, he can interact with my parallel universe any day.

Loved the Clive Barker ever since I read "In the Hills, the Cities"(I think thats the title of the short story)...about the gay couple who run into the smalls towns at war. It was the HOT sex scene in the field of wheat that sold me!
