Video Game Celebrities?
A few months ago, I wrote about GameDaily's real-life Warcraft women feature where they compared celebrities to Warcraft characters they made. So when I saw that GameWad put up their own feature comparing video games characters to celebrities, well, I was ready to roll my eyes again. But actually, they impressed and amused; Dr. Wallace Breen of Half-Life 2 does look like Sean Connery, and Kurt Russell from Escape From New York does look like Solid Snake.* Other dead-on ones included Duke Nukem and Howie Long, Leon from Resident Evil and David Bowie (it's the haircut that does it) as well as Street Fighter's Ken and Owen Wilson (pictured). The only one I went "Huh?" to was the comparison of Kratos and... Scott Ian of Anthrax? While the dude's heavy metal, bald and has a crazy goatee, he's also pasty-white and not exactly fit; I would've picked Vin Diesel (who I despise except for his role as the Iron Giant), or maybe even Djimon Hounsou...

Kojima explicitly stated that Solid Snake was based on the character Snake Pliskin, in an interview a while back.
actually, I just retain "useless" video game information really well. =P
