It’s Time To DANCE! Online

DANCEOnline.jpg

Acclaim is about to deliver a new online dancing game called DANCE! Online. Following the hugely popular pricing structure of overseas MMOs, the game will be offered for free, but extra song packs and outfits will come at a price.

Warner Music has teamed up with Acclaim to provide master recordings from Warner’s library of artists. This means that DANCE! Online will be the first free MMO dancing game to incorporate licensed tracks. Dave Perry of Earthworm Jim fame is directing the game and had this to say about his title,

DANCE! Online has started the music based game revolution which has captured the minds of hundreds of millions of players in Asia

Sounds great. This is just another example of a gaming trend from overseas finally making it’s way to our shore. Hopefully this type of pricing structure will catch hold over here, so the future of MMOs may lead to free online gaming, with customization coming at a price.

The Beta is open right now, so head on over to the site, and check it out before anyone else does.
