Dawn Of Mana English Screens

If this collection of screenshots is any indication, Dawn of Mana is going to be amazing. And since it comes out two days after my birthday in May, that is a sign from the Fates that I will love it and devote large portions of my early summer to playing the heck out of it.
Secret of Mana was one of the first games that I got on my SNES that I completely dove into, and was the first game that revealed to me my interests in gaming. Large world exploration, stat building, equipment and weapons gathering and developing, these are all now staples of what I love in my games, which are all essentially RPGs--action, strategy or otherwise.
Dawn of Mana looks to be carrying on the mantle of it's early nineties predecessor, in a manner that has never been done before. All subsequent "sequels" of the popular SNES game have deviated from the previous games quite heavily, apart from the few GameBoy games that barely made it over to the US. The Seiken Densetsu series has a richer release history in Japan, unsurprisingly, but we are finally being blessed with Dawn of Mana, in what appears will be a final gem in the PS2 crown. Just check out the gorgeous screenshots, and hints of fun and engrossing gameplay that has a lot of similarities to that aforementioned game of old.
Anyone not excited for this game pretty much has a cold piece of concrete for a heart, as far as I'm concerned.

Erm, I have heard from several reviews on Gamefaqs.com that importers have been very disappointed... which is why I'm going to reserve judgement until the game gets reviewed stateside... ;P
Check some reviews, Prince. The game TANKED and tanked hard in Japan and they're not improving it one iota for the US release.
I don't have concrete for a heart but I do have a fully functioning brain, ya see.
Oh yeah... this game is brutal, and not in a good way. I.. could not wish this upon anybody.
I heard that it tanked in its home base Japan.
Even of they returned to the old Secret of Mana formula als SD 2&3 I wouldn't trust this new staff with it.
The game doesn't contain a single RPG-element. It's basically a medicore action-adventure
It's NOT a Mana, it's a Kingdom Hearts~
Well...even with all the comments, I'm pretty sure Pirate Prince and I will still be willing to "bite the bullet" and give it a try first hand. You won't be alone Pirate Prince!
