Countdown To Super Paper Mario
The mystery is still out on who the last playable character will be (and if someone knows, at this point I don't want to know), but the above video reveals some gameplay mechanics I was still a little fuzzy on. A timer seems to appear when gone into 3D mode, and it slowly replenishes when back in 2D mode. This adds a certain element of strategy if you can't accomplish much or dawdle around in 3D mode. It also appears that certain playable characters can't kill certain enemies (Bowser seems to go right through the little mecha enemy halfway through), rather unlike the last iteration of the Paper Mario, in which it was mostly just a matter of personal taste how you wanted to take baddies out. HP points are still obviously in place, but it will be interesting to see how the SCORE points work out, and leveling up.
Is it just me or does the broad of expanse of 3D space suddenly seem quite frightening? Maybe it's just my subconscious yearning for Super Mario Galaxy.

If this Paper Mario were an RPG, I would sooo want it. As it stands now, it just looks interesting.
I'm going to go out of my way to never play this game because it was shifted to the Wii. Nothing I see screams "Must be played on the Wii", and if I an not mistaken, can't all gamecube titles be played on a Wii?
The fourth character was announced at the beginning of the week.
It was no huge shock.
I would have passed on this had it continued in the turn-based vein, but I'm whipped into a little fanboy frenzy over it the way it is now.
