Top 10 Gayest Tabletop Characters: #4 Wraeththu RPG

wraeththu.jpg

4. Wraeththu RPG – Wraeththu RPG
This time it's not a character, not a race, not even a whole world. No, for the Wraeththu RPG, every element from the seemingly-bishonen characters, to the ephemeral art style, to the super flowery prose ranks the entire game as probably the gayest RPG ever written. Formerly published by Immanion Press, and inspired and written (at least in part) by creator/author Storm Constantine, in Wraeththu you get to play an impossibly beautiful, frisky, psionic hermaphrodite (two genders are better than one!) with the potential to change boring normal humans into sex god(esses) like yourself. Is it just me, or does this sound like a different kind of roleplaying then that which usually involves beer, dice, and Cheetos? The game has even been called, "The Most Pretentious and Artsy RPG Ever," two adjectives I'm personally a big fan of. So, next time you've got that guy of your dreams in your arms, and he says he wants to try some roleplaying, now you know just which book to pull off your shelf. (Oh, you can also play online with strangers too, you naughty boy.)

Know a game (somehow) gayer than the Wraeththu RPG? Tell us which one on the Table Games Forum!
