Great Moments Of GDC 2007
Now that GDC’s almost done, it’s time for me to take a moment to reflect on some of the more awesome moments that I’ve seen and experienced during the past three days.
First a foremost is a proud moment for Tiny and I: we found Reggie on the floor shortly before Miyamoto’s keynote speech, and I essentially accosted him at camerapoint and made him pose with Tiny for a moment so we could snag a posed snapshot. The man was gracious and polite, and didn’t even bat an eye when we told him where we were from. That one picture totally made up for the fact that were weren’t beloved enough by Nintendo to garner a special press pass which would have allowed me to duke it out with photojournalists directly in front of Miyamoto. Reggie showed us love. That’s awesome enough.

Other entertaining moments: watching Phil Harrison play Little Big Planet with the developers on a giant screen, hearing Peter Molyneaux claim that his dog can beat up Miyamoto’s dog, meeting Ian The Kilt Guy, checking out the videogame art exhibit in the main hall, seeing the anti-piracy booth avoided like the plague by everyone not working there, and sitting outside the Sony Metreon at night while realizing just how damn beautiful this city can be.

We didn't meet Miyamoto. In fact, the closest we got was about 50 feet away from him. Phil Harrison glared at me when I got too close taking photos, though.
