We Blow Our Own...Horn
GayGamer's been around for more than half a year now, and while we've been getting some great recognition as we go along, it's always an awkward feeling to pat yourself on your own back. Nevertheless, I've limbered up and stretched myself out to share with you some of the great press we've gotten over the last few months - and there's only more to come, I assure you.
Fruit Brute's given more interviews than you can shake a stick at, but he's far too humble to brag. Luckily, I have no such virtue: La Brute (pictured, with pink flying V ukulele) was featured on MTV's Obsessed, where he got his pop culture interview on, gave a slide show of GayGamer's various delectables, and both created and narrated a video of everyone's favorite cross-dressing zombie masher, Dead Rising's Frank West.
Next we were featured on GLBT television network Logo's online presence, LogoOnline, where Fruit Brute was interviewed for a generously lengthy article...which was also mirrored on Logo's male-oriented blog, AfterElton. Three cheers for the gay mafia, y'all!
Recently, yours tinily was also interviewed for an article on GayWired about the future of the gay gaming business, written by Bryan Ochalla, the wonderful (and adorable) journalist who featured us in his Gamasutra article on the same topic.
And just today Fruit Brute dished out even more GayGamer interviewage to the women of WomenGamers, rounding out our current bragging rights with some intelligent bonding between niche/minority/non-mainstream gaming sites. Stay tuned for news about GayGamer popping up in the printed press and another forthcoming feature on none other than Salon.com.
