EA Aquires A Karaoke Company

Electronic Arts recently acquired San Fransisco-based SingShot Media, an online karaoke community. The site allows users to record karaoke performances, upload them to the site, and have other users vote on their performance. Similar to other community based sites like YouTube and MySpace, users can share their tunes with other users, comment on them and rank their performances.
EA purchased Singshot to, “help accelerate EA's efforts in community-building and promoting user-generated content through a unique music platform.” There hasn’t been any confirmation on what EA will do with the site, but the company did say that SingShot will become part of the Sims Division. They claim that, “The technology can be applied to several different community projects within EA.”
If the SingShot technology is implemented in The Sims, what would that mean to the franchise? We may see a hybrid game somewhere between Karaoke Revolution and The Sims, where players can form bands and live together in a house, promote their music, and compete against other bands. How about putting this technology into Spore. You could have people vote on various user-generated content from within the game. If the player comes across a race, or a planet, then they could vote on it, so players can see who has the most popular content in the game.
How would you integrate SingShot into any of EAs franchises?
