Acclaim's New Top Secret MMO; And You Can Help!

26380.jpg

It seems that Acclaim is working on a top secret MMO being headed up by David Perry (Earthworm Jim, MDK) and they want your help in developing it. It's all very mysterious, but from what I can gather, us regular Joes can sign up to start submitting ideas for this new project, appropriately titled Top Secret. Anyone whose ideas or content are used will get a credit in the game and an opportunity to win the grand prize: Directorship of their own fully funded, guaranteed to be published MMO game, executive produced by Perry himself.

Sounds like a pretty interesting project, but I'm sure many of you are asking the asking the same question: Is this a paid gig? The wording on the website seem to indicate that it is not paid, but the new Director will receive royalties from all the game's sales. Seems like a lot of work for royalties on a game that may or may not sell, but hey, you rolls the dice, you takes your chances.

If you think you've got what it takes, head on over to the Top Secret page on Acclaim's website and sign up. I'm going to go ahead and do it so I can see what this is all about and I'll bring you updates on this story when I find out more.

I have me some ideas for MMOs. Consider me signed up. Maybe I'll get lucky/noticed. Or at least have some fun.
