Wii Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn

I can not express in words how exciting the prospect of playing Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn is for me. I've always enjoyed the Fire Emblem series--mass unit organization, collection elements, characters that can increase their relationships with others and yet die... what's not to love? Combining that with my unadulterated love for my Wii and you have a match made in Nintendo heaven.
RPGamer has just discovered some new magazine scans and screenies, and they are a beauty to behold, but slightly underwhelming. It doesn't look like much has been changed from the formula set by the GameCube release of Fire Emblem, and there is no sign yet of how the Wii remote will be used in gameplay in any way beyond as a mouse-like cursor. Although I must admit that the screenshot of a level one character's stats is enough to give me wet dreams. There is nothing I love more than the clean slate of a character, and all the potential therein. Although I have no doubt that it will reach US shores, no date has been announced yet.

Anyone else spot the gamecube controller buttons in the interface of the character stat screen?
I originally heard that Wii Fire Emblem will not use the Wii remote and will, infact, be using the gamecube or classic controller.
It would of been excellent to be able to play the whole game with just the Wii remote, I can't imagine why not, it's a pity if they don't implement it.
Waaaaaaaa! I am so excited for this game! It's on my top 5 must-get Wii games!!!
