Lumines Live Content Trio

Ever since Lumines Live! rolled onto the XBLA scene with its 50MB-breaking file size and resultant accusations of price gouging, Lumines Live! has been the go-to game for microtransactions and how they can spoil the party for some - while others don't see what all the fuss is about.
Now there's more fuss to be had.
Next week's Arcade Wednesday will present XBLA with three packages of Lumines Live! content:
Heavenly Star Skin (free to Gold members until Feb 21) .
VS CPU Pack (100 MS Points until Feb 21, 300 MS Points thereafter).
Puzzle/Mission Pack (also 100 MS Points until Feb 21, and 300 MS Points thereafter).
Heavenly Star Skin seems to be named after a song performed by Genki Rockets and produced by none other than Tetsuya Mizuguchi - and apparently earned a nomination for Best Song at the 2006 Spike TV Video Game Awards, for whatever that's worth to ya. The download includes the music video, which you can watch while playing - in 5.1 surround sound.

I like the promotional prices, that's only $2.50. I think Lumines is a game that is worth the price.
I've always wondered if they'd ever lower the prices of older arcade games they way they do with platinum hits.

I love Lumines Live!!! I do agree that the microtransactions are mildly obnoxious, but I really do believe that, if you don't like it, you shouldn't buy it. It doesn't stop me because it's not so bad, and I will continue purchasing the content as it's released.
