Kojima Lusting In His Heart For Other Consoles?

When Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima was asked if he would like to make games for the Xbox 360 and PC in an interview with GamePro, he said, "I want to do it...." However, the issues lies with his development team, who are less eager to work on other platforms. As for the PC market, his reasoning for creating a game there is because of the independence of other PC game designers as they are not bound to a console and, therefore, "we don't have to go into some crappy things with the first parties [Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo]."
On the topic of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Kojima mentioned that work has been only on the PlayStation 3, "so far." Which led GameSpot to ask about developing on the PS3. Though not involved in the day-to-day development duties, he said the PS3 is difficult to develop for. That, at least to us, comes as no surprise. ...but that's all he was willing to say regarding the system. The following comment...may disturb you:
"If I say too much, Mr. Kutaragi [father of the PlayStation] might get really upset," he said. "I think that the PS3 is difficult to work with, but so was the PS2."
Geez, I guess Mr. Kutaragi really is as mean as he looks. Best watch your step, Hideo, he may challenge you in the Man Festival if you're not careful.
