Wiimote Your Mac

The Darwiin Remote is a program that sends and receives data from the Wii-mote to any bluetooth enabled Mac. It detects all three axis sensors and all buttons, except the power button. The LED can be hacked to control which one is turned on, the program can even send force feedback.
Darwin Remote can even control the Front End applications. The source code is open to the public, to tinker with to their hearts delight.
This opens up completely new avenues of communication with computers. How about a 3D mouse, controlled with the Wii Remote? Sounds fun.
There has already been a new version that utilizes Wiimote’s sync button to sync the controller to the computer.

It’s FrontRow not FrontEnd! May the Mac Fanboys descend upon you!
It doesn’t support any kind of sensor bar functionality though. When I tried it all it did was make the mouse cursor get stuck in the corner of the screen till I Command-Q’d the app. I’ll be waiting till it’s out of Alpha stage, thank you.
After almost cracking my head open the other night while trying to make the lips smaller on Photo Channel, I’m thinking an interface driven by a 3D mouse might not be great for general use.
Neat idea, once it’s a little more refined I’ll give it a try.
