Web Development Guide For Wii Opera Browser

Opera Logo

WiiNintendo.net is assembling a guide to create webpages tailored to the Wii’s Opera Browser. The first tip is the Wii Shop Channel displays at 608×456 pixels, although the browser can display at 640×480 resolution. If you want to edit your site to Nintendo’s specifications, make sure that the site scales to the 608 pixel width.

WiiNinendo.net provides sample buttons and fonts to create a consistent look with the Wii Home Menu. There are a few javascript and CSS files to complete the package. This guide is the first of many. Future Wii Site guides will include more Javascript performance, Flash, sound, cursors, Wiimote buttons, zooming, selecting, and Wii standards. Check back later today for another update.
