Final Fantasy XIII Versus Tease
I dunno what it means, but it sure looks pretty. And sounds pretty. This trailer for Final Fantasy XIII Versus has typically amazing Final Fantasy production values and despite being a big ol’ tease makes me appreciate what the PS3 will be like (I hope) when the launch is finally behind us. It also cools my jets about getting my hands on a PS3 anytime soon: with games like this in the works, I’ll be psyched to buy the console down the road when there’s a nice selection of games and the PlayStation empire has put a little more hustle behind its bustle.
The music here is absolutely phenomenal, but I haven’t a clue what it is. Sounds like an aria in Italian, but I know shite about opera (bad homo!), so for all I know it could be original and sung in Swahili. Anybody recognize it?

He must be the bad guy, he’s not blond.
Hard to tell if it’s FMV or an actual rendered scene. I would hope the latter, but Squeenix tends to dress up hype in pre-renders.
Looks spectacular, though. Here’s hoping for a matching plot.
It is FMV, Square came out and said that. And he’s a main character. We all know Nomura doesn’t have the blond love as much as Amano.
Watching that was interesting, because it felt a lot like watching the “Another Side/Another Story” teaser for Kingdom Hearts 2. I like Nomura’s designs and direction, but the guy needs to get a bit more variety going.
