The Sims Get A Wii Makeover

Electronic Arts has decided to try and breathe new life into their sagging Sims franchise by giving it a makeover in Japan. Capitalizing on the Japanese obsession with all things cutesy-poo, EA has ripped off taken a cue from Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon for their new version of The Sims for the Wii. Although it will only be available in Japan in the beginning, I’m sure it won’t be long until we see this version come stateside. Personally, I’d rather just see a Wii version of Animal Crossing where you don’t have to worry about all that pesky working and peeing.

There will be a stateside version of this. I have a friends who’s brother in law works for EA. During a visit to thier offices she saw this being made for the U.S.
While Mr. Riot’s statement fills me with hope, I’ll wait for an official declaration – I’ve been burned too many times to just trust, I’m afraid.
I’m holding out for Animal Crossing a la Wii too. Though if they actually used Miis on the Wii version of the Sims, I might give it a try.
Oh this looks adorable and fun! I definitely want this for my Wii! :D I LOVE the Sims and they totally let me down with the DS version, and the old original Sims version seems so bland in comparison. These graphics look pretty and fun and not boring! Can’t wait!
Uhh, I think I’ll stick with the PC version of the Sims, and to Animal Crossing for the Wii.
