Happy Birthday Miyamoto!

Mr. Mario himself, Shigeru Miyamoto, turns 55 today.
Many regard him as the father of modern console gaming, and responsible for revitalizing the industry after the disastrous video game crash of the early 80’s. He was the first member to be inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences’ Hall of Fame in 1998.
Miyamoto is a perfectionist in game design, who is notorious for scrapping chunks of development to improve upon his games before release. He calls it Chabudai Gaeshi, or overturning the tea table. He was once quoted, “A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever.”
On March 13, 2006, Miyamoto received a French honor, by being inducted Chevalier “Knight” into the Ordre des Arts at des Lettres.
Miyamoto’s career is an inspired one, starting out as an artist and becoming one of the most well respected designers in the gaming industry. Happy birthday Shiggy, we hope you have 55 more.

heheheh…”Shiggy”...are you having a Momo flashback to when she first met “Ziggy”?
I thought it was taboo to use “Shiggy….” I love his pose!
I love Mr. Miyamoto. He’s my hero. We have the same birthday!
He turned 54, not 55.
