Aw, Man: PS3 Disc-Loading Problems
OK, now I’m sure this is not how most PS3s are behaving this way, but it’s certainly spectacular, and simultaneously painful, to watch. It’s from the news blog Punch Jump, where the guys had picked up a 20 gigabyte PS3 only to have it fail as soon as they turned it on:
The PS3 Safety and Support manual does not offer direct troubleshooting for users who have experienced disc drive malfunction. The closest solution in the manual is to perform a hard eject for discs that cannot be removed, which did not solve the issue.
The Sony Computer Entertainment America Consumer Service line’s automated support only offered troubleshooting on disc recognition.
...
A Sony customer service representative offered to replace the defective unit. The representative said most calls placed for the system have inquired about how to setup the unit or about the system’s limited availability.
Well, that’s cool that Sony offered to replace the defective PS3. I’m just hoping this is an isolated incident and not indicitive of a problem with a larger portion of the initial PS3 shipment.
PS3 Loading Tray Hell [Kotaku]

PS3 is crap. I just bought one as welll and has the exact same problem.
Mine has the same problem. I can't use it 'cause it won't load the disc. There is no disc in it and it came right out of the box.
I got the same problem and costumer service hung up on me.
