“Worn out faces” indeed.
This trailer gets better each time I watch it. Before this, Gears of War was presented as the story of Mr. Badass And His Adventures In Gunland. Here we see Mr. Badass running AWAY from danger, as the dreary atmosphere and song (listen to the lyrics—they’re cast in a new, perfectly fitting light) convey a sense of being trapped in a barren, malicious world, forced to fight over and over again for survival.
