Dance! MMO

Dance! MMO from Acclaim

Shiny Entertainment founder, Dave Perry, has been working with Acclaim on Dance! an MMO dancing game. So it sounds a little strange, but it seems like it would be worth a look.

The gameplay is unclear at the moment, but I imagine it would work like Dance Dance Revolution. Acclaim promises licensed, popular music instead of the techno dregs of other dancing games. You can even go to the official website to request music for the game.

There is no release date set for Dance!, but players can still sign up for the upcoming beta test on the official site. The game will be free to play, but there will be in-game advertising and you will have to play for clothing for your avatar. Not a bad deal.

We are inundated with fantasy style MMO’s, so it’s always wonderful to see someone trying something different in the sea of conformity. Also by having an active MMO, where you are exercising while you play, it would look great to break the mold of the overweight MMO player.

I know :(

But I also like pop music, so maybe it won’t be so bad.

The best thing would be to make a program that either automatically generates the steps to a song you have on your harddrive, or allows the player to place the steps themselves.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
