ChillStream Controller Keeps It Cool On The PS3
Or at least, it keeps your hands cool. Logitech today revealed its first product for the PS3, the ChillStream Controller, which uses the company’s existing PC game controller technology and a purportedly quiet 40mm internal fan to keep gamers’ hands cool. No more sweaty deathmatch palms, yay! I gotta say, the idea of a controller that keeps my paws cool is a tempting one, provided the execution falls in line with Logitech’s usual keep-it-simple-stupid savvy. I’ve decided I’m not going to say a single cruel (and therefore, accurate) word about the PS3 today; that being a really tough choice of late, it’s sweet to hear some refreshing news on the Sony front, even if it is third-party. No word yet on how (or if, but one supposes it must) the ChillStream will handle the SixAxis technology, but the controller will be available when the first PS3s ship in November.
