Many gamers have called him “cheap” and derided him for his easy controls and long reach, but who could turn down a guy who’s cheap and easy with a stick that big?

I find it curious that on the one hand we cry foul at so-called streotyping when characters are flamboyant, femmy, or whatnot, yet comments like, “who could turn down a guy who’s cheap and easy with a stick that big?” only serve to reaffirm the stroetypes of gay men as superficial and oversexed. And I get that the aim was at levity, but I almost find that kind of casual joking to be worse, becasue it takes for granted that the reader would agree to some degree. Meanwhile this is the kind of sentiment that serves to perpetuate an unrealistic and harmful beauty myth.
