XNA Beta Is Released

XNA, the development kit for all you aspiring and creative game designers, is now available for download! You can download the beta version of XNA Studio Express from the official site, here.
For a brief overview of what is offered with this and what needs to be done to publish your games, go here. As a reminder, there is a $99 subscription fee to the “Creators Club.” With that membership, you will be able to post your games on Xbox Live for others to play. You are also granted access to a wealth of resources to help speed up the development cycle. The main site has more information available to view and I have the site’s FAQ page linked here and below.
I cannot wait to see what kind of games come out of this! With so many schools inquiring how to incorporate this into their curriculum for gaming programs, I’m sure there are many exciting projects ahead. So good luck, out there! If you are developing anything and want to share it with us, just let us know and we’ll be more than happy to get the word out. By the way, what type of games are you looking forward to or do you have any ideas of your own?

Forget Dead Rising. This is what makes me ache for a 360.
