Wii to have Wiimakes, Too?
An article over at The Wiire says that Shigeru Miyamoto is considering wiimakes of GameCube titles. Mr. Miyamoto is also very interested in making the games support the the Wii Remote. He described the transition of Twilight Princess from the GC to the Wii as “an interesting experiment.” However, it would seem his desire to bring ‘Cube titles to the Wii depends largely on the success of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Rightly so, if Zelda, for the Wii, somehow, fails…then what are the chances of GameCube titles making it on the Wii? Then again, if Zelda fails on the Wii, what does that say about the future of Nintendo’s new console?

Depends on the game, I guess. I mean, Resident Evil 4 on Wii would be pretty awesome, but that’s up to Capcom. If you were to remake all the Mario sports games, what would the incentive be to buy it if you already owned the game?
If they remake a game like that, let’s say, Mario Golf, maybe they should put in extra controls, characters, more features, etc. because hardly anyone would want to buy a game they already own just because you can use a different controller for it.
Meh. One of my pet peeves with the game industry is the way it tends to dwell on the past, favoring enhanced versions of old stuff over actual new, original content. I’d rather play a flawed but original game than a finely tuned reiteration.
Please don’t call Shigeru Miyamoto anything other than Shigeru Miyamoto . Especially Shiggy. Do that for me and you’ll make me happy and smiley, ok?
