Dead Rising Tops 500,000

According to Capcom, over 500,000 copies of Dead Rising have shipped in two weeks. That makes it the fastest selling next-gen title from a Japanese publisher. The news comes as no surprise as it has been a hit with both gamers and critics, having received high scores on numerous gaming sites. I am confident that Dead Rising will be responsible for moving a few Xbox 360s off of store shelves and into the hands of many gamers.
For those of you in Japan and Europe, you’ll be able to slash, mow, run over, punch, kick, smash, and otherwise obliterate zombies on Sept. 28 and Sept. 8, respectively. Dead Rising is currently available for purchase in the U.S. for $59.99, at most retailers.
