Pirates Rock The Carribbean Once Again

Ren Review: Issue #2
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest
Cast: Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightley
Director: Gore Verbinski
Hello again to our movie review. I was a total raving bitch last week, so this week I thought I would review a movie that actually didn?Ĵt suck vampire butt.
This was a fun movie with some great acting from start to finish. Johnny Depp is back as Capt. Jack Sparrow. This has got to be the gayest character besides Willy Wonka that Johnny Depp has ever portrayed.
He is back to his old ways but still has the inner turmoil of a being a good man. Orlando Bloom is hotter then ever in this film. He is so yummy in this role that I could dip him in chocolate and eat him with a spoon. Kiera Knightly is always fabulous with her big smile and kick butt attitude.
The movie is 2 ?? hours long but well worth it. This time our crew is on the search for Davy Jones?IJs chest and the key that opens it. The villains are a little over the top and they look like a hairball you would pull out of your kitchen sink. The storyline and action scenes are well thought out with the slapstick of the first movie. It does have a few slow moving scenes and the plot starts to separate. It starts to fragment to create a larger story ark which will be continued in the next movie. There are some creepy scenes in it but nothing too scary that would make you jump in your boyfriends lap, unless you like it that way. The backdrops, locations and costumes are amazing. I am glad to see the $225 million budget was put to good use. The set designers did not hold back in creating a world that is believable for the pirate realm. This movie has already grossed $135.6 million in its opening weekend which is now the biggest box office opening in history. The current leader was Spiderman at $114.8 million. It proves that Disney still has what it takes to make a great movie even though the studios direct to video animated sequels have old Walt rolling in his grave. There was only one thing I did not like. There was no closure to any of the plots, however those will get wrapped up in the next installment which should be out next summer. The third movie will be titled ?ĺPirate of the Caribbean: At the Worlds End?Ĺ and it will be breath taking from what I have heard on in. Kiera Knightly said it was so good she did not know where one movie ended and the other began.
This is a must see. I give it 3 dog tails up. It would have received 4 but I am a bitter queen. I knocked off points for making we wait. I know that is awful but I hate when I have to wait for a great thing. It is like chips; once you start you just can?Ĵt stop.
This title is playing in theatres now. The soundtrack is available to purchase at Amazon.
